This Sotheby’s auction from the mouse post has the cutest little (mostly) Faberge and Cartier animal figures. Basically western versions of netsuke that were inspired by the actual Japanese ones directly? I think that’s what they’re saying in the thing anyway. Lovely little objects, the whole auction catalog.

These three sang to me for some reason, that extremely frustrated bull in particular.
