So who was gonna tell me that, in the book, Victor Frankenstein's studies take inspiration from Paracelsus (as far as I'm into the book, one could argue that other factors and scholars were more important to the doctor's posterior infamous work, but young Victor's studies? Definitely of paracelsian inspiration)
Ugh aside from the more obvious homunculus/creature parallels, arcsys really struck genius making A.B.A take inspiration from both Frankenstein and Paracelsus' homunculi
uhoh they got racist
You prefer Stefan/Elena? Would’ve figured since you like Chair, you like Delena, Damon and Chuck are practically the same archetype
yes i get this a lot lol but i've shipped stelena since day one of that show! and DE is actually like... one of my least favourite ships ever probably? hahaha. (i won't hash out all the reasons or anything because i'm aware that i probably have lots of DE fans following me here, and i don't want people thinking i'm gonna be spending any time on this blog bashing DE or whatever. but feel free to message my main @jenniferslindley if you ever wanna talk more tvd or other fandoms!)
i know it's strange because they are similar to chair in the basic ways, but for me shipping comes down less to liking a specific kind of dynamic regardless of show/character, and more to how i personally understand the characters involved and what i think they want and need, if that makes sense? so my understanding of blair vs elena. to me, blair suits That ship vibe in a way that elena doesn't, and stelena brings out the parts of elena that i think are truest to her and what she wanted out of life (in seasons 1-3 at least, since i stopped watching in s4. tbh based off of what i've heard of the later seasons, if i kept watching, there's a decent chance that i'd have liked steroline too and only shipped s1-3 SE). it's similar to logan and veronica; it's a very intense and often problematic dynamic, but for the character of veronica, it works and makes sense in a way that the exact same dynamic never could for a character like rory gilmore, you know what i mean? chair in general is probably the big outlier in my ship list, like they are very much not my type oddly, so it's amazing that my love for them is still kicking around lol.
So I (passively) run a pretty popular blog for a fandom currently experiencing a revival. I don’t really like the direction the new show is going and have said as much.
And people are really like...you’re ruining my enjoyment of the show by making these posts...like??? You’re on MY blog???
Press that unfollow button baby and leave me alone.
GUYS! I found Mysteryman Luke’s Employee in an episode of B99! (Season 1, Episode 21 - “Unsolvable”)
The actor’s name is Robert Michael Lee!
Yarn is a Whore
So my cats were allowed inside for a minute (until we can get them better situated. They're just strays that we decided to keep) and my mom was making a little ball of yarn thing for them real quick. But- she was having some problems. She kept saying, with my little sister in the room, "you're a little whore, you know that? Just a little whore. Every one of you." And I was both equally amused and genuinely concerned.
