Hey guys, it's been a while since I've properly used this blog as originally intended, so I think it's time for an explanation.
Running this blog just doesn't feel fun anymore. Right now, my hyperfixation feels softer, and with the anime being over and the upcoming fighter not necessarily being my cup of tea, I have no reason to return for now. Boosting help posts perhaps, but they don't get as much reach here anymore, so I think that'll stop too.
As I have quite talked a lot before, GG and... this blog, really! were incredibly helpful to me last year, which was a very hard time for many real life-related reasons.
I knock on wood, but this year... It seems that my situation is really improving! There is still a lot of scary uncertainty about the future, but I now have so much more support, experience and stability than before. I'm also recovering from what I think is a burnout. I'm slowly getting back on my feet, trying to not over-exert myself and even let myself relearn how to enjoy videogames again!
I don't know if there's still many people following this blog, but to be clear to you, this isn't a full farewell: The blog will still be up and I'll probably return once again if my interest becomes as intense again. Still, with my enjoyment of GG being in some ways related to my pain... I'll learn new ways to enjoy it outside that! At my own pace, that is.
Perhaps someday I'll finish the big Frankensteln review post, too. Really good book overall!

not seeing a lot of people on here talking about ICE murdering another man yesterday. His name was Lorenzo Salgado Arajou. He was a Mexican man living in Houston Texas. He was killed at age 52 and lived the past 35 years here in the USA, and was in the process of obtaining a work permit. He was shot and killed during a traffic stop that ICE claims was part of a targeted operation, and claimed he was “weaponizing his vehicle”- the same claim ICE agents made when they shot and murdered Renee Good.
During the stop, Lorenzo had 3 coworkers with him in his truck who have all been taken into ICE custody.
His family described Lorenzo as a hardworking family man who didn’t deserve to be killed. All he wanted was to provide for his wife and see his sons become great people. His eldest son recognized his father by his cries and pleas when trying to identify who the victim was.

We've been 2 days in a motel, my father-in-law snapped again, he smashed some dishes. I got out with my kids for our safety.
We got enough for rent and other things but im regrettably using most of it to stay at the motel until my partner ends the arrangements so his dad visits his family 3 states away.
Im keeping this post up because we may need help affording transportation so we can be finally safe and back home and rent since living in a motel/hotel is more expensive than at home.

Thank you I did pay my healthcare!!! I was hoping with the extra I could get my meds but we ended up using it for food and taking my MiL to the hospital because of gastrointestinal pain, she had to stay under supervision for a whole night and is scheduled for more tests on Tuesday. We’re pushing her healthcare services to schedule her for a gastroenterologist as soon as possible, she has been unable to eat which has been a terrible combination with her diabetes. Can we ask for help affording her ensure bottles so she can at least eat that? We’ll need to do something about the humidity and mold soon, we get trapped in the rooms often, last night it took us over an hour to be able to reopen a door even with both my partner and me pushing. She ran a venue in Oakland called Oakland Secret, a punk venue where I’d vend at regularly as an artist. She made a safe space for queer artists, artists of color, and local furs too. I am forever grateful for her work both in the Bay Area creative scene and online, and am forever changed by the totality of her impact.
