so we're so happy for cynthia nixon about coming out and being her fine queer self, and when it comes to sara we just…. what, like, someone explain why we give cynthia all this love and grace while we all act like sara doesn't exist now because they checks notes had the gall to play a shitty person in a tv show?
im truly trying to understand what's happening. is it because they think genocide is bad? is that controversial now? or that they're nonbinary and cringey in a typical gen x way? because god forbid someone be earnest and defend a character who is an asshole, couldn't POSSIBLY be that they want to humanize that character and encourage people to see Che as a full human being and not just a bad-comedian and podcaster even though they weren't given much else to work with material-wise.
idk im sick of this outpouring of support for cynthia where we just aren't discussing the elephant in the room of sara not starting any new projects since that The Cut article came out about them. i don't care about that fucking white lady finding herself. i want to know why rosie o'donnell is a quirky and fun addition but an asshole NB who is objectively uncool is not. why do we get mad as sara for "ruining miranda" and not the writers? or, fuck, even cynthia?
