lowk my genderfluidity is so funny bc i just went a month and a half questioning if i was really just a fraud cis girl and then my gender answered me and hit me with a cosmic fuck ton of dysphoria and now im begging the 'rents for a haircut.
and just when i got a really cute necklace for my signature fem look too, my gender really is determined by comedic timing. fitting for a cosmic menace.
it's also funny because instead of feeling heavy catastrophic dissonance and self-hatred and all the poetic things my fellow trans folks have described on the internet my gender dysphoria is more just really annoying. frustrating even. Like knowing you have a stain on your shirt but you can't fix it because you're out of the house but boyyyy do you want to go home and change.
This week in "Wynn got a fancy studio apartment, this is the first time she's lived on her own, and also she's a little bit stupid" we have:
1) spent six days, three trips to the leasing office, one embarrassing call to security, and several emails to IT attempting to figure out why the key fob worked on every single door except the parking garage. Mother solved the problem within twenty seconds of looking at the door by just. Moving the key further up on the reader. 2) Spent the first five days after getting the keys on the air mattress (planned) shivering (not planned) at war with the thermostat which was set to well above 70 and had No Right To Be This Cold, only to find out (again, immediately after the parents arrived) that the thermostat was working but the wall unit was…unplugged. 3) Set up the kitchen, got unreasonably excited about making rice for the first time in eighteen months, and immediately realized that someone had packed the full set of pots and zero (0) pot lids. The source and the solution to this conundrum both remain a mystery. 4) Forgot to turn off the oven. Twice. 5) Forgot to add soap to the dishwasher. Once. 6) Set up several christmas decorations and still can't find a phone charger. Priorities.
I am a fully functioning adult and I am perfectly capable of living on my own. thank you very much. I've been here for two (2) weeks.
