Letting People Go

Mirayim had been allotted a couple of hours in the city. She took that time to let some of the people in her life go. It was not as easy as she had hoped it would have been.

The first, Dante. Remi kind of helped her with that one. It was not easy but pretty simple.

The next was Ty. Not so easy. His words stung but she had to suck it up and let him go. “I care for you.” “I will be here for you.” “This is not Mira Mikaelson.” She shrugged them off as if they did not bother her, keeping a straight face. She lied to him. Still he followed. Finally, she just looked at him, “Fuck off!” It was harsh but he needed to stay away from her.

The last was pretty easy compared to the other two. She simply wrote a letter to Kaide. Making sure she did not see him face to face. Would be better that way. No way she could say goodbye to him while looking at him in the eyes.

She settled on the ledge near her bridge, thinking about things. This was for the best.
