it's not that i hate the concept of shane walking ilya like a dog.

it's just like. ilya is one of those dogs who walk themselves. you don't have to ask him if it's time for walkies, he's already at the door with his leash in his mouth. his online haters are like "omg rozanov is such a simp for hollander" and he's like "of course i am a simp. he is beautiful millionaire who drives ugly grandmother car 1km under the speed limit, i am obsessed with him." he posts a picture of himself beaming at the camera, thumbs up in yellow rubber gloves, with the caption saturday afternoon, cleaning out bathroom drains! and people think he's being sarcastic but this is the happiest he's ever been in his life.

shane is like "i mean, i could have done that, i need to look at the grout anyway" and ilya is like "settle down, mr. landlord. this is not capitalist household. we do gross chores together and then we fuck" and tomorrow he's going to call someone to get an estimate on replacing all the upstairs windows because he knows shane has been silently stressing about the house's energy efficiency, and he's going to get anya groomed and buy shane flowers on the way back home. shane doesn't tell him what to do. he notices and does it because he wants to.
