Sons of House Black: Sirius Black III

"I never betrayed Lily and James. I would have died before I betrayed them."

Sirius was the older son of Orion and Walburga Black, and the brother of Regulus Black. Although he was the heir of the House of Black, Sirius disagreed with his family's belief in blood purity and defied tradition when he was Sorted into Gryffindor House instead of Slytherin.

As Sirius's relationship with his relatives deteriorated, he gained lifelong friendship in James Potter, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. The four friends, also known as the Marauders, joined the Order of the Phoenix. When Pettigrew betrayed the Potters to Voldemort, Sirius sought to exact revenge on Pettigrew. However, Pettigrew was able to frame Sirius for his betrayal of the Potters, the murder of twelve Muggles, and the staged murder of Pettigrew before Sirius could accomplish this.

Sirius was sent to Azkaban, and after twelve years became the only known person to escape the prison unassisted by transforming into his Animagus form of a massive black dog; and he exposed Pettigrew's treachery to his old friend Remus and his godson, Harry.

Sirius was true-hearted and brave, as shown by his participation in both wars and willingness to die for those he loved. In his youth, he was a witty and talented wizard, but also quite an arrogant and mischievous troublemaker. He bullied and humiliated those he particularly disliked, namely Severus Snape. He was vicious towards those he hated, sometimes unjustifiably so.

As an adult, Sirius was shown to be capable of an explosive temper when angered, a trait shared by his mother, Walburga Black, and his cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange. He occasionally demonstrated himself to be reckless, immature, and even downright irresponsible. He also seemed to have possessed a superb mental control that contrasted sharply with his passionate and impulsive nature. The fact that he was able to completely resist the psychological effects of the Dementors for so many years suggests that he had an unusually strong sense of self, and therefore was capable of withstanding long periods of emotional torture and despair.

Sirius was murdered by his cousin Bellatrix Lestrange during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries; displaying the same recklessness and carelessness in the face of danger that would get Bellatrix herself killed two years later.

Sirius was subsequently cleared of all charges by the Ministry of Magic, though he was too late to enjoy his freedom.

Does Ranpo help Poe write better mysteries? You know ones that are harder to solve? :3c What is their relationship like? Does Poe really admire/have a huge crush on Ranpo? I love fluff so if you have any more cute information you'd like to give I'd love to hear it!!!

Of course~ The ideas a still a little rough, but this is what I had in mind for them in the Writer AU. 

In the AU, Ranpo and Poe’s relationship is that of close college friends-now turned coworkers. As far as mysteries goes, Poe is regarded as one of the best mystery writers of the era, although neither of them really care for such a claim as Ranpo was still able to solve all his mysteries within the first chapter or so. 

Now Poe takes Ranpo’s opinion to heart…a little too close to heart honestly. He understands that mysteries typically bore Ranpo since he can solve them pretty quickly, and often strives to write an interesting mystery for his sake. A bored Ranpo often leaves Poe feeling incredibly anxious as to whether he may be losing his touch.

Extra HCs of interest:

They usually go out to a small cafe or sweets parlor for their meetings; Ranpo would usually pester Poe to buy him something, although he only does that every other meeting.

Ranpo still gets lost easily, so most times Poe waits for him at the editorial company before they go off to their meeting.

Ranpo has a bad habit of spoiling things, especially when sharing Poe’s work with his coworkers (Chuuya ends up taking the brunt of that issue, unfortunately)

When stuck in a slump Poe usually consults either Lucy or Alcott for advice; he is oblivious to how lovesick he sounds when rambling to them (and neither of them have the heart to point it out). 

Poe will tie/pin his hair back when doing meetings at the editorial; Ranpo isn’t used to seeing him like that and the reaction is amusing each time.

That’s all there is for now; again a lot of it is just rough ideas, but hopefully I’ll have it fleshed out more as time goes on.
