Hi, I hate it here.
Our town has a "Hot List" that comes out every year, but what we need is a "Not List". I guess it's easier to tell you about the few good places there are rather than all the deplorable ones. Rather than a magazine, we would get a book. Unlike our annual magazine that tells us which place has the best cocktail, this could tell us which place makes watered down drinks. The dark side of the town should be highlighted just as much as the light. Yes, that restaurant may have the best dinner, but just outside is where the people without homes gather to beg for scraps from those with the luxury of affording to eat a whole meal that day. You do not see the whole picture if you only look at the good. We must be forced to examine the bad to discover what the good really should be- not erasure, but a solution to the bad. That is what brings the town together. We have no commonality, highly divided, and we see the other side as the problem. Calling out all the negatives probably won't fix anything, but on the off chance it does, I'm willing to hate all over everyone.. for the cause of course.
