My ray-of-sunshine nature paladin
6. What is your character’s opinion on nobility? On authority?
This is a hard one for Juniper actually. She doesn’t really assume anything specific about them that she doesn’t assume for everyone else (i.e. that they are good and mean well and generally competent unless proven otherwise).
She mostly starts from a default of people in authority probably are fine but then if they disagree with her view of morality is like “Hey no! You aren’t right about that!”
But she doesn’t really respect them any more than anyone else and she feels like her duties lie mostly to those who don’t already have the protection afforded by wealth and title. She’s also just as likely to be awed by someone’s well-loved cidery as their marble entrance hall.
20. What is the biggest mistake your character has ever made?
Juniper doesn’t feel like she’s really made a mistake.
ummm from other people’s perspectives.... Not sleeping in her armor so she has to run into battle naked? The boulder incident? Getting us lost in the city and running into a vampire?
43. What is your character’s scent? (Bonus points for a description that sounds like it could be from a bad [or awesome] fanfic.

8. What location encountered in the campaign has your character felt the most “at home” in, or just generally liked the most?
Probably actually around the campfire (on the non-attacked nights) feeling like she has a group of actual competent adventure friends and she’s actually doing it. And they seem to both like her and trust her to do well, and listen to her opinions seriously. And she likes them.
At those times she feels like she’s in the right place. Even if she’s still trying to find her footing the rest of the time.
16. If your character wasn’t whatever class they are, what would they be instead?
I mean when I first conceived Mara as a character before I fleshed her out she could easily have been a lore bard. So she would have been a collector of story and a teller of true tales. (and just as much of a nerd)
She’s a librarian in pretty much all AUs though.
35. Why is your character’s lowest stat their lowest (the in-character reason, not “because there’s no reason for a wizard to have 16 strength, duh”)
her lowest stat is dexterity. She’s not an overly physical character despite being naturally quite resilient (high con). Even though she made her friend teach her how to fight and spar with her and did okay she was never really committed to a rigorous workout regime and tended to rely a little on her natural strength rather than training for speed and agility.
But really even though she very, very much wanted to be out in the world she really spent most of her time studying, reading, scribing, translating, researching and generally working in the library (where most of the physical work she did was lifting heavy things not, you know... running obstacle courses, learning to tumble, engaging in combat, dodging things, dancing... or other such things.)

12. What is your character’s current goal, summed up in one sentence?
I mean I want her overaching goals to come out during play... so I’m going to be a little general with this but overall the most pressing, other than the whole shard thing:
“Keep someone she cares about safe.”
30. What would most people think when they first see your character?
Beautiful, dashing, well-dressed?
Sometimes she might come across like a noble of some sort. Other times just a travelling entertainer. Other times an adventurer/dungeon delver. She tends to try to make the impression that suits the current venue.
In general she carries herself with confidence and addresses people fairly directly.
56. When they were a child, what did your character want to be, or think they were going to be, when they grew up?
I mean... a lot of things. But in general her daydreams were of being a diplomat or maybe a brilliant diplomat/spy who did daring things as a hero of her country.
