Last book: I started "The Hollow Needle" by Maurice Leblanc on a train ride some weeks ago but haven't picked it up again ever since

Last movie: The Ipcress File (1965)

Last TV show: An episode of the german Ghosts adaptation yesterday evening

Sweet/spicy/savoury: Either sweet or savoury, both have their time and place but I'm probably more leaning towards savoury

Last thing I looked up: The english title of the book mentioned above haha

Current obsessions: The Marx brothers! and watching old movies (our German tv channels are broadcasting soo many good movies atm, i can barely keep up haha)

Looking forward to: eating tortelloni for dinner and (maybe) going on walks more often during the next weeks

The comedic potential of classical music in the right moment... Absolutely loved the llama racing scene to a panflute cover of the William Tell overture and when the Peru handbook hit the villain in his stomach while The Blue Danube was playing

Still can't wrap my head around the fact that a random British tv film that probably nobody over there even remembers anymore became one of THE German Christmas classics

I watched “Come and See” (1985) yesterday.

It was probably one of the most horrifically beautiful and tragic and scary anti-war movies I’ve ever seen in my life.

I only had to check my phone only 1 time during the middle of the film. I was really invested in this movie. Also cuz I needed a lil break from what I just seen from this film.

I was mildly curious about this film from what I’ve heard, and so I wanted to check it out. I was definitely not disappointed.

I think I cried at least a few times when I watched this film. The acting, the story, the direction, the writing, the visuals was…just….perfect.

This film is absolutely perfect. However, I’m probably never going to watch this film again as it was that……well….traumatic. Which is the point of the film ofc, and I think that it achieved that very well.
