Today, our little comedian are turning 82 years old T-T (I wasn't ready for that) and I want to wish him all the wonderful things because he is a very special human being, I can't even describe the joyness and brightness I feel looking at him, watching his sketches or documentaries... I am so proud to share my profession with him (I read that he is an historian too and that made me so glad!!!!!)... So, Michael, I know you won't read this, but I really love you, you are amazing!!! Thank you for all the laugh 💕💕💕

Hello, that's so nice of you to say, thank you! I feel the same about you appearing in my notifs! :)

Honestly I cannot break it down to just one. Usually I would say Terry J., my beloved - I share his love for history, feel like i can identify with him in a few ways and he also is soo handsome to me. Plus until like two years ago no one else ever named him as their favourite and I wanted to show some love for him, too... but now here on tumblr he's pretty loved so i don't have to represent him. Graham used to be my actual favourite before that. He's like my spirit animal in a way and I just love him and his absurd humour. I feel like we are alike quite a bit. Occasionally I have to take a break from him, though, because he and his lifestyle (during alcoholism) can get too much for me if that makes sense. And I also have to mention Eric here because he's the one who I've known the longest and he's my role model in so many ways with his approach to life and creative work, his joyfulness and productivity. He's the kind of human I aspire to be.

Graham was a terrifically good actor and he had that ability to look so conventional and then do something outrageous.

[Graham] was remarkable. I remember that before we even did “Python” Terry [Jones] and I used to watch the “At Last the 1948 Show” which had John Cleese and Graham Chapman and Tim Brooke Taylor and Mary Feldman and these other people, and we were really impressed by Graham’s stillness, he didn’t seem to be acting very hard and your eye was drawn toward him - he was just there. That’s rather the way Graham was generally.

When we were filming in Glencoe for “Holy Grail”, I used to go to bed early, being the “nice one” of the group, and I would hear Graham standing in the corridor shouting “Betty Marsden! Betty Marsden!” On the second night it would be “Betty Marsden, I’m on my own tonight.” By the third morning I said to Graham: “Do you mind? I’m trying to get to sleep, so can you just keep it quiet?” So the next night it’s dead silence and no noise at all, but when I got up there was a little slip of paper shoved under my door and it said “Betty Marsden”.

I've always been wary of a Python reunion because we don't have Graham Chapman, who was such an important part of Python. He had his problems - he was a self-confessed alcoholic - but, God, he was a good actor and an odd, eccentric writer, too. We'd miss him if we got back together.

The last year has been…. bad. I was extremely lucky to get a few months that felt better (in comparison to normal years still bad but to this year very good) but overall it was the year of so many things important in my life coming to an end (as I've known them) and nothing going according to any plan ever. When it was bad I genuinely thought 'I just want to make it out of this year alive'.

And now it's officially 2026 and I've made it out alive!! Yay! Happy New Year!
