I don’t fully understand what a “partner system” is. My friend has DID and has a partner system, both of them are bodily minors. Pretty much every alter in their systems is in a relationship of some sort; family, romantic, all of it. A bunch of them are even married. Is this normal? Is it healthy? I’m concerned for my friend but I don’t know if I really have a reason to be concerned if this is just what partner systems are
yes, i would say it's normal for a partner system. i don't really have any sources as partner systems are more of a community thing so any sources are usually also community made, but most partner systems have all or most of their alters in some form of relationship. whether it be plantoic, romantic, ect. i would not be worried for them unless you believe their partner system may be abusive or toxic. as long as your friend is happy and the relationship is healthy then there is no reason to be concerned /lh

Not really correcting misinfo but is it possible to have fragments or half-formed alters and not be polyfragmented? We are a system with a very low split tolerance and tend to split pretty often and sometimes we get kind of half finished or blank alters.
it is possible! though admittedly polyfragmented systems are more likely to have fragments (hence the names) other systems can also have fragments. really there aren't any sources i can find talking about this, but no source says that fragments are a polyfragmented only thing, so its safe to assume you can have fragments without being C-DID / polyfragmented.
Is systemfluid an endo term? We like it but would not want to use it if its proendo or endo neutral
i cannot find the original coiner of the term but i'm pretty sure "systemfluid" means "a [collective] gender that changes depending on who's fronting in a system.", which doesn't really seem like an endo / pro endo thing. but it really depends on who the original coiner is,, even then you can always recoin it if you'd like!
there is another term similar to this made by an anti endo though, if you'd like that; its "sysidentity", the definition is "when someones identity (like gender, sexuality, alter humanity, etc) is fluid because of being a system"
Hello! What’s the difference between sub-systems and side-systems? I’m not sure where to look for an answer so if you also have resources or blogs that specialize in programmed systems I’d appreciate that too 🖤
We're not exactly qualified to answer this question as we don't have any side systems and therefore don't personally know what it's like but we'll try our best.
Subsystems are described as "systems within systems" while side systems are described as "a separate system standing metaphorically “to the side” or “next to” a main system.", so the main difference would be that subsystems are inside of the "main" system while side systems are outside of it, if that makes sense?
I don't know any resources or knowledge any blogs for programmed systems unfortunately, but if anyone else does feel free to comment or reblog with them!
