honestly, who else is doing it like him?
please tell us more about your dog-dog and the haughty princess?? 🥺🥺🥺
Three years ago, a series of events – a semi-succesful stint in rehab, a broken ankle, an untimely death, an even less timely romance, and a software engineer falling down a flight of stairs – led to me taking custody of an untrained, unsocialised 1-year-old Hungarian pointer. I didn't know a thing about dogs.
Possibly as a result of this rocky start in life, she believes she's the most long-suffering animal on earth rather than just a reasonably obedient dog.
She's gay. Achingly polite. Fussy. Impatient. Regal. She memorises car journeys and is gentle with hedgehogs. When her owner recovered from his contretemps with the flight of stairs, I returned her to him. She turned back up on my doorstep the next day, absolutely incandescent with me.
I got the second dog on purpose. She is always either happy or asleep. She likes single-word commands, running in big circles, tv, and chewing things. They're good dogs. I'm glad to have them both.
Trust the Horne Section instagram to give us the Alex cuddle content we need.
Things that look like Taskmaster but aren’t Taskmaster
This lovely picture of Greg with Alex and James.
Apologies that there haven't been many new quotes recently, I've been busy with Uni stuff and moving house, but rest assured, things will pick back up again come series 11.
please say more about your dog and the forest pigs. what are forest pigs
Sometimes, out in the woods, my dog and I find ourselves surrounded by about a dozen pigs. They appear to live there. The pigs are a sort of russet colour and they strike me as both friendly and intelligent. I would guess they are probably Tamworths.
To my eyes a pig looks slow and not particularly fun to chase, but on this point my dog vehemently disagrees with me. When I ask her to come to heel she affects great weariness, pulls a face exactly like Alex Horne being asked not to be quirky, and sulks along very visibly thinking uncharitable thoughts about power-drunk despots.
Eventually the pigs get bored and wander off. Shortly after, my dog remembers that the quality of mercy is not strained, and blesseth him that gives as well as him that takes, and I am forgiven.
That's pretty much my whole relationship with the forest pigs, unfortunately.
