For me being fat is a flex.
I battled anorexia and bulimia and am still battling ARFID. I’m PROUD I’m fat. I’m fat in spite of the world.
Being stubbornly fat is a flex and I will die on that hill.
4 non-selfie pictures!
Picture 1. Horse Farm with approx 9 horses in the snow, taken on the way to work.
Picture 2. My very first homemade pumpkin roll I made this November! The swirl came out perfectly!
Picture 3. My baby! His fangs! (A close up of a black cat's sleeping face with a little fang poking out of his mouth)
Picture 4. A snowy picture of a woods with a line of small pine trees in front of it, also taken on the way to work!
Thanks for the tag @ofcedarandbone !
I'm tagging @the-fox-jawed-witch @twig-the-wizard @nylafoxphrey @fernthewhimsical and @space-queen + anyone else who wants to join!
Sorry I've been away for a while. Just working my ass off and living my little life. Have a leg shot of a rare, wild Shay in a dress and heels.
It may never happen again.
We're doing a Lord of the Rings movie marathon tomorrow, which will be the first time I've watched the whole trilogy in one sitting. To celebrate, I decided to make a full day of hobbit meals to eat as we watch.
I apologize in advance, but I need a place to geek out about my Book Accurate Shire Cuisine, so this is going to temporarily become a food blog for a few hours tomorrow.
Where I live in February:
I was tagged by @slewfootwitch to join this activity of romanticising our local world, which is always a good idea! This shall also double as a good writing exercise for me, so it's a two birds with one stone scenario! I only have a few pictures to add to the end as I do all my tumber-ling (?) from my laptop, which I do not have many photos stored on, though I rarely take photos or even have my phone with me to take photos with.
Where I live, February sounds like... the bubbling of the river stream; the chirping song of birds among the hedgerows, followed by the cawing cries of a murder of crows, as they swoop down upon the fields and barns hunting for food; the drip and patter of rain upon the windowpanes, as high in the sky the clouds rumble and groan; the whoosh of wind crossing by; The calling sounds of livestock; The crack and sizzle of wood within the hearth and the gentle snores of a snoozing cat; the hush of stories within one's mind; The clicking sound of keyboard keys, the gentle rustle of pages being turned, and the whistle of a kettle letting off steam.
Where I live, February feels like... A creeping chill sneaking through the cracks; the warmth of bundling blankets; the soft fur of our collie as she looks for pets; the grit of stone and soil under fingers as I prepare the garden for fresh seeds; the smoothness of paper as I turn the page; the prickle of branches and nettle as I wander through the forest; the splinter of wood as I stack new logs to dry and the coarseness of rushes under fingertips as I twine them together into Brighid's crosses.
Where I live, February tastes like... the warming broth of vegetables, Potatoes and pork covered in gravy; Sage and onion sausage rolls: fresh-baked bread; the cooling richness of milk; Natural Yoghurt topped with Oranges; Pancakes dripping with butter; biscuits of many flavours - mainly chocolate I'll admit, and Earl Grey Tea.
Where I live, February looks like... Thickening fog travelling across the bog, the dappling light as the sun breaks through cloud; the rare occurrence of a rainbow after the rain breaks; an altar humming with renewed energy as I greet the morning with candle-flame and prayer; Noticing the fresh buds among hedgerows and bladed grass; Noticing Frogs hopping through the ditches as they lay their eggs; the familiar visit from the robins upon the birdfeeder; the cluttering mess as others return home after you just cleaned up; A freshly-made bed, filled with pillows and plushies; an awaiting stack of books upon the bedside locker and the low light of a lamp as I snuggle down to re-enter the land of dreams.
Where I live, February smells like... fresh herbs upon the windowsill; petrichor upon the wind; dust swirling up from old books; moss and mud squelching underfoot; smoke and coal burning into embers; wet dog as she refuses to take shelter from the rain; melting candles upon the altar; lemon-scented floor-wash as I chase away the dirt and the slow arrival of spring.
I don't know who's already been tagged or done this, but I'll tag @fangedreverence , @mossandfae and @sailescaithuisce but do not feel pressured to do it, unless you truly want to!
