A Story of House-Like Objects
Here is a house. It is built out of house parts and contains traditional house features like Door, Fireplace, Sink and Closet. And yet -- and YET -- this house is somehow not a house, but a set of modular House Widgets™ duct-taped together to form a conglomerate that is roughly in the shape of a house. Rather than being built, this house was formed by the giant hands of a huge alien who has only passing house layout familiarity.
Observe the existential crisis that is its kitchen.
Observe this bedroom(?) that is clearly two bedrooms pretending to be one, much like two children in a trench coat pretending to be one adult.
Observe this whole column situation, which was stolen in the dead of night from a different house in a different town on a different continent.
Observe the unknowable geometry of the bathroom, which M.C. Escher took one look at and said “that’s a bit much.”
Observe these drawer pulls, which droop asymmetrically in protest.
To the entity that pushed these house pieces together, I say: good job. You did it. You made something, and that’s what’s important.
