He’d send Bellatrix away for now while he went to talk to both Narcissa and Draco. Rodolphus had just gotten back from the ministry, and had rather wanted to tell the two in person about Lucius’ imprisonment than that Bella would do it.

Narcissa’s reaction had been bad enough, and it had taken quite a long time to comfort her enough to let her calm down, but that was expected. About Draco though, Rodolphus had no idea. He’d only seen the boy for a few months after he was born before getting send to azkaban after all.

Pulling away slowly, Rodolphus frowned sadly at his nephew and sighed. “Your father. The raid of the ministry failed, Lucius is going to be send to azkaban.” He tried to bring it carefully, but didn’t want to twist around the truth. He knew well enough from the first war that things like this were better told right away and with no sugar coating it all. “Likely for at least a few years, Draco… I’m sorry.”
