Dave: Do the birthday thing.
You hold out a present, clumsily wrapped in bright red wrapping paper that had been slightly crumpled in the trip up here. "It's nothing special, most of my money went to the move, but I had to at least give you something. You just gotta promise I can hear you play something for me sometime."
Inside is a book of piano music for movie scores.
You're grinning like a fool as you tear into the paper. Honestly, you are so happy just to see Dave again, you don't really care what he got for you. It could be a stack of his lame comics and you would still be tickled pink.
The actual gift, of course, is way cooler. "Dude... this is so sweet!" You flip through all of the pages, happy to find some of your favorites in there, including the Ghostbusters theme music. Dave always got you the coolest gifts, and this year was no exception. You take him by the shoulders and pull him in for a tight hug.
"Thanks, Dave. I love it."
