there is no threshold of trauma that determines whether or not you’re ““allowed”“ to have did/osdd. you were a kid. anything could’ve been detrimentally traumatizing. you don’t need to go through something absolutely horrific to “count” as a system. if it was traumatizing to you as a kid, it is “enough” trauma.

positivity of the day!!! you are not required to know everything about your system! in fact, it’s normal not to!! you don’t have to be able to name every member, you don’t have to know everyone’s distinct interests, you aren’t required to even be able to separate each other all the time. having a system is confusing and that’s normal and good communication + understanding of your system comes with practice, not naturally. you’re doing great !!
