❛     TELL  ME  ABOUT  IT.      ❜              he  rests  his  chin  in  his  hand  as  he  stares  at  the  cafeteria  population.          it  was  spirit  week  ---  &&  they  were  all  dressed  up  like  their  favorite  royals.        of  course,    that  meant  most  of  the  actual  royals  were  just  dressed  up  like  their  families.           ❛   some  originality  would  have  been  nice  ,  you  know  . . . ?         just  because  you’re  prince  charming’s  kid  doesn’t  mean  you  have  to  dress  like  his  clone.         i  mean  ,  you  do  that  normally  ,  you  know  ?        idiot . . .     ❜          he  says  that  ,   all  while  still  looking   WISTFUL.

detention.  detention.  DETENTION.  no matter how many times doug repeated the word inside of his own head he still couldn’t quite wrap his mind around it. he had never gotten detention before, not once, not ever! he didn’t even know what detention was supposed to LOOK like. was attendance taken? were they supposed to sit in silence like time out back in second grade? or were they supposed to work on class assignment? or maybe they expected him to write a full three page essay reflecting on what had brought him to this point. what HAD exactly brought him to this point anyway?

doug realized he had been standing outside of the classroom designated for detention for over five minutes, anxiety pooling between his ribs. hands clammy, doug tugged at his collar that was beginning to feel a little suffocating and inhaled a deep breath before pushing open the door.    doug felt heat immediately crawl into his cheeks and ears as he stepped inside, mouth dry and uncomfortable,  “  sorry.  ”  doug blurted as he moved quickly towards the back of the room only to spot gordon seated in the corner. relief flooded through him almost immediately and he all but power-walked to claim the seat beside him.  //  @notgrumpy  ♡’d  for  a  starter  from  doug
