Tote bag + child’s sizeable collection of gritstone ‘eggs’ = “Mummy, can you mend this?”

Hole + old shirt = problem sorted :)

Thinking about it now, I’m impressed by how well the bag coped with being used for geological samples.

Evidently tornado sirens in this area went off last night. But it looks like most people didn't hear it. Including us. The city should invest in another one as it's grown s lot in the last several years. The animals were restless all night, beginning around 10 pm. Thank god nothing happened. I believe there's flooding but no tornado touched land. Michael and David have been rearranging the kitchen. They're changing everything around. Finding more space for things as we have a small kitchen. I went to the dollar store close to me. It seems that everyone else had to go at the same time. I usually don't like to go to that particular store cause it gets robbed all the time. I just had to buy laundry detergent and didn't want to drive to god's creation only to get that. So I took my chances. It didn't get robbed while I was there. I joined the Race for the Cure this coming Saturday. I won't be running of course but I'll walk as fast as I can. The nurse practitioner who I used to work for opened her own practice and they have a team going on for this race so I joined their team. It'll be fun.

I tried coffee for the first time today. it's an iced banana latte

I don't like it very much, I think. coffee is bitter. even without the banana flavor, it doesn't smell like it did in my 4th grade ELA teacher's classroom. sigh

do you remember how she'd give out candies to those who had neat pencil cases? I brought home so many rolls of smarties. hard won spoils of my labor!! not really.
