gosh I find humility so attractive. there’s nothing like a man admitting he’s weak without Jesus and is in constant need of His help.

Nothing Without Him: A Sonnet

I don't follow the wayward flow of the crowd

Because He made me alive in His grace

And delivered me from the deathly shroud,

Which kept me from His holy dwelling place.

He has freed me in the beauty of how 

Ink bleeds, until a page or two is full

Of the feelings once trapped inside, but now, 

Overflowing from the well of my soul.

In me He has planted a strong desire

To play the beautiful game I adore, 

And make my goal to spread His burning fire

To those on the field in need of much more.

Through life's troubles I will always persist,

Because He knows the reason I exist.
