A year ago, I spent my birthday mostly in tears, struggling to find happiness in a day I have always enjoyed. And I knew I deserved better. That began a journey of self-love and self-discovery that has been challenging, liberating, terrifying, and ultimately rewarding beyond my wildest dreams. So to celebrate the bravery it took to change how I looked at the world and at myself and to bask in the beauty of what my future can look like when I lean into happiness, I went on a little birthday adventure to Niagara on the Lake. It was the perfect day and the perfect reminder that we have the power to build a life that feels good, authentic, and happy.
