Perhaps knocking over a statue in his room was not the smartest course of action when trying to appear mature and sensible, but it felt good. The ornament falls to the floor, breaking to three large pieces with a noise loud enough for half of the palace to hear, especially at this late. Rajah is nowhere to be seen, probably out in the yard to avoid the anger-slash-frustration of his owned before Yasin could calm himself.
Somewhere behind him, a door opens, and Yasin presses his palms against his eyes to wipe the wetness away from them. A quick glance over his shoulder tells the identity of his uninvited, unwanted visitor, and the prince plumps down on his bed.
❛ What do you want? ❜

❛Sultana? If you excuse me, your Majesty, I don't think I've run into a title like that before. Exactly how far away are you from home?❜

"I'm not bossy, I'm the queen."
"Yes, it's quite annoying to hear that, isn't it?" He narrows his eyes at her.

"Oh I'm terribly sorry for bumping into you, at times I'm so lost in thought I forget to notice my surroundings."
The Princess--Scratch That--The Queen and the Pauper
Running. Once again, Alanna was running from the palace guards. Just like she did every morning. Except this time she hadn't even done anything. She hadn't even gotten the chance to get close to a fruit vendor or a bread vendor when Qasim--the captain of the guard--and his lot spotted her and took chase. So of course Alanna had run. She didn't want to get caught when she hadn't done anything that day.
She glanced over her shoulder, already running at top speed, to see that the guards were catching up. Running as fast as she was, even that short glance was enough that she didn't see where she was headed until she--quite literally--ran into someone. Alanna stumbled back, looking up to see that she'd run into a woman in an elegant dress and a circlet. The sultan's wife. The queen. She'd run into the queen. Alanna was stunned long enough for Qasim to grab her with a triumphant shout of "Got you, streetrat!" That was enough to shake her from her shock, and she started struggling against the guards.
"No! No, please! I didn't do anything! Rani! Rani, please! Don't let them do this!" Alanna cried frantically, tears gathering in her eyes. "Please, Your Majesty! I don't want to lose a hand when I haven't stolen anything! Please!" Obviously that wasn't the complete truth, but she definitely hadn't stolen anything that morning, and her fear was sincere.
