Does Everyone Hate the New Snow White?
Rachel Zegler, who played Snow White in the new version of the film, faced hate. Users believe that the actress is not suitable for the role due to her ethnic origin. In Grimms' Fairy Tales, Snow White was described as a princess "who had skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood and hair as black as ebony".
What do I think about this?
I guess it is unfair to downgrade the movie for that reason. The film company can make changes to the original, that is okay. In an actor, the ability to portray emotions, diction, oratory, improvisation, and hard work should be valued first and foremost. The viewer must evaluate the quality of a movie. Those who criticize the actress because of her ethnic origin are engaging in discrimination, they are nationalists. If actors are supposed to look like characters from books, then why do not people criticize the films "Divergent", "Twilight", etc.?
Xenophobia must end.
