Starter for @notsoace-trainer
Benji wiped away the bead of sweat that had gathered on his forehead, finding it to be getting unbearably hot. Sure this was Alola, known for it’s tropical islands and humid climate, but one could never truly adjust to the heat. Although that was the least of his worries at the moment.
Both Aiden and himself had been stationed on Poni Island for a mission. Initially they were sent here to retrieve a package from one of Guzma’s old contacts, although as a sub point they were also to nab any rare or powerful Pokemon they could. After all, Poni Island was a flourishing training ground for trainers with the powerful Pokemon residing in it and the popular Battle Tree. Benji had his doubts about his Pokemon team or even Aiden’s doing very well on this Island, but so far they had managed.
Currently, Aiden was on the other side of the field they had come across, deciding to travel along the cliffs to look for any promising trainers, while Benji had decided to travel along the stream nearby. Surely they could nab one or two more Pokemon until the ‘contact’ finally arrived.
It didn’t take long for the dark haired Grunt to come across a trainer, and by the looks of it, they seemed to be fairly young. Then again, appearances could be deceiving. Benji crouched down behind a few spare boulders, keeping himself hidden as he thought of a plan. None of his Pokemon were particularly tanky, except for Emmett, his Mimikyu. Deciding he would probably be the best option, he called forth the small Pokemon. He smiled and patted his cloth before gesturing towards the blond trainer. “C’mon Bud, we got work to do.” He muttered, standing up to his full height and carefully stepping over the boulders. He cleared his throat before he started gesturing with Team Skull’s known hand signs.
“Yo ya’ better hand over your Pokemon of ya’ know what’s good for you! Team Skull is here and ready to throw down if ya’ refuse to listen!” He threatened, hoping he sounded more intimidating than he felt. Emmett made a show of hissing at the stranger, one long arm extended out from his cloth.
