A lil somthing to keep in mind 🌻 My grandma from Mexico once said that the people up here walk around like animals. I had no idea what she was talking about until she explained; "People walk around ignoring those who pass them. In Mexico, we greet everyone even if it's a stranger passing by." It's a lil nod to your sister letting her know you acknowledge her existence. I always smile at those who meet my glance. Even say "hello 😊". Make them in less than ten steps! :) #glutenfreebaking #caraway #makeyoufeelbetter #foodloves #bakingatnight #notsocommon #cookierecipe #bakingwithlove #fromscratchwithlove #spontaneoussunday #trythisathome #trythisrecipe Cares Away Cookies (makes 40 - 50) 1 egg 1/2 cup soft butter 2/3 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon xantham gum 1/4 salt 1 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds, lightly crushed 1 cup all purpose gluten free flour 1. Whip butter, sugar and eggs in bowl. 2. Add dry ingredients and blend until smooth. 3. Place dough onto sheet of parchment. Roll the parchment over the dough and work with hands until you have a 2" thick log. 4. Roll parchment completely around dough and twist ends to form a package. 5. Refrigerate cookie dough for 1 hour. 6. When dough is chilled, preheat oven to 400 degrees. 7. Remove dough from parchment and slice into 1/8 - 1/4 inch rounds. 8. Place cut cookies onto a parchment lined pan and bake in middle rack for 8 - 10 minutes. Cookies are done when the edges have browned slightly. 9. Cool and enjoy (or eat them while they're still warm like I do!)
