So, my Nott theory...
Luke wasn’t described as being goblin-ey at all in that description Matt gave us. I don’t think Nott is his biological mother.
That doesn’t mean Nott wasn’t his mother at all...
He could have been Yezas son with another halfling, but Nott could have lived with them under an enchantment (or potion? Yeza seems to have been a pretty strong alchemist) *after* escaping the goblins. He’s 5(ish) years old, “Beth” - Nott in halfling disguise - could be the only mother Luke can recall.
The big hole obviously being why Nott would have been separated from them, but given Notts absolutely hatred of being a goblin you can totally see that she’d have decided living in disguise isn’t good enough and set off to find the permanent solution she wanted to see herself as good enough for the family she loves.
Did Nott say the halfling’s name was Yzir? Yeza? Yezir?
