❝I want you to know that I’m all yours.❞
Every time Jude hears it, he takes it with a grain of salt in the words. It’s the best course of action when he’s spending a night with Bright; he doesn’t complain, but he doesn’t quite indulge the topic much more than a simple hum and a nod. The safe thing, one he does at all parties he doesn’t necessarily want to be at.
But spending time with Bright when she wants to is more important than wasting time on finishing a new game that’s just come out, he’s told himself that countless times in the past. And sure, Tomb Raider seems promising, but he has a beer in his hand and her hands on his hips as he leans against the wall.
Her statement itself doesn’t instill much trust in him when she could be with anyone else the next day, and when he’s had to rush here from an interview that mostly consisted of inspecting his love life. He’s never been a better actor than when he has to say the two of them are just having fun, going with the flow. That that’s how they want it. It’s good publicity, everyone from the show and his manager are telling him that. Sneaking into the hearts of many by sleeping with his co-star, it’s great.
Can’t find anything bad with the exposure their open relationship gives them.
Until she’s staring at him and all he can really focus is her eyes and there could be nothing and no one else in the room and Jude wouldn’t notice the lack of music or chatter in the background because that’s what it is. The background to their talk, one he wants to continue in a different direction but continue nonetheless.
“Are you having fun?” They’re really close all thanks to her, and he doesn’t mind it one bit that they’re practically as close as they could be. Contact’s always been important for him, even as simple as seeking out her hand when she’s on set or an occasional hug when there’s a party going on. He’s been known to drop a conversation when he notices her from time to time; it might be considered somewhat rude, but it’s not is fault nothing quite catches his attention as she does.
“Really good music selection this party, I love Maroon 5. There was also Taylor Swift, but I have to say that was mostly my doing. Can you believe they didn’t want even one song by her? Shocking.”
He wants to add something like I’m all yours, too but it seems sappy and he’s already brushed over the topic almost politely, there’s really no use going back.
