Assassin (As-sas-sin) - One who murders by surprise attack, especially one who carries out a plot to kill a prominent person.

Assassin. This is what Laurraine is. It's in her blood, it's in her soul, it's in her mind... it's what makes up her identity and her reputation. She is a murderer as what people would describe her. But no, she does not see herself in that matter, for what she simply does is hunt people down who have done wrong, which has affected the society in a way that has ruined thousands of lives due to their own unreasonable purpose. 

She's an Assassin. 

A different type of Assassin.

So, on the night of 26th of November, she was at it again. She was in the midst of the shadows of the dim lights, her eyes searching for her prey as her ears were carefully listening for any sort of sounds that might give away her target's location. Her footsteps were quiet against the stoned flooring, despite having to run a few times just to close a few distances. And before you know it, she was already hearing a couple of whispers echoing through the empty hall.

The target was close.

{ ☯ } -    Waves reached the shore before returning to the sea; it repeated itself to no end that it created a sound that added peace to the tranquil afternoon. Annabel was walking by the shores, barefoot; she reckoned it to be a perfect afternoon and it resulted her escaping to the beach to enjoy it so.

Another irksome day was yet to pass as Scott took a drag from the cancer stick in his fingers. There he was, sitting on a bench as he idly scratched his head, brown ruffled hair left uncombed. It was his day off, but the male was unable to think up of anything better than to hang out in the local park in the afternoon.

"Damn man, day's boring as Hell." he muttered with another drag. "But at least not as boring as it was in Heaven." he added, meaning it as a joke though remembering his trial and damnation. But no matter how shameful and bad that day was, Scott was still kind of thankful despite the occasional crime-busting and demons wanting to burn him to ashes.

If you knew where to look you could find a lot of stories about monsters or other horrible creatures. Most of them were just that - stories. Existing to make money with them. Or to give people some exciting news to brigthen up their otherwise boring and grey days.

But some of them where true. And when people vanished it mostly caught Alice’ attention. Simply a hunter instinct. One that was saving lives now and then. This certain article was speaking about a creature running around in the nearby woods of the town she was currently travelling through. A dangerous creature, extremly skilled when it came to hunting. It made Alice think of a Wendigo or a werewolf, but to be sure she would go into those woods herself.

It was still early morning when she arrived there, fog lingering around her feet on the forest floor. Everything was quiet, still sleeping peacefully. Checking her weapons once more she grabbed her bag, leaving her bike behind and started to follow one of the ways leading her deeper into the woods, always cautious to make not enough noises that would tell any creatures that she was here.
