In Leu of the /r/FPH ban.
Hey guys. All six of you. I have not been posting because I’ve been working on a demo reel. I wanted to say thank you for your support, and I want to make a few statements before I continue this little tumblr project.
I want to say that there is a FINE line between motivation and flat out bullying. I’m not a fat sympathizer, and I think fat acceptance is one of the worst things to happen to our culture, but I’m also not someone who condones bullying in any form.
I’m highly aware of all the factors associated with the obesity epedemic, including socioeconomic status. (I’m poor as fuck by the way, but still I buy locally grown/ made organic food because I am morally obligated and don’t think there is such a thing as excuses.)
I come from a long line of tough blubbers, including my Grandma, who in her younger years became overweight (about 50 pounds over) and went to weight watchers to get her health together. Her best friend (they both have passed) was a woman named Marcy who used to be huge. The first time my Grandma saw Marcy in the supermarket she walked up to her and said “My god. You’re fat!” and they became best friends. My grandmother helped Marcy to lose over 100 pounds.
I think we’ve become hypersensitive because everyone seems to get offended these days. We don’t want to ‘hurt feefees’ at the risk of having either a suicide or a lawsuit on our hands.
This ‘fat acceptance’ movement has become an excuse for a lazy and unsustainable lifestyle. I have a theory that it is a counter-movement to the health craze perpetuated potentially (or at least encouraged) by corporate America to keep these people fat, and happy, so that they can continue stuffing their pockets with factory made food and money for medications prescribed for health symptoms associated with Obesity. Here it is:
We are all in search of a ‘miracle’ cure, and the fact of the matter is, the cure for many disease is simply fresh whole food. More importantly, SUSTAINABLE fresh whole foods from farms that implement crop rotation and proper care for their animals: Grass fed and free roaming cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and chickens (which taste better by the way though I only eat meat once every few months to help keep my iron count up). The miracle cure lies within you and your lifestyle. You don’t have to dole out thousands of dollars for weight pills and meds. These are simply bandaids placed on top of a bigger issues, which are festering and need surgical removal at this point (metaphorically speaking). I’m speaking drastic change.
Fat acceptance gives people to feel as though they are not morally obligated to eat better, and they are able to turn a blind eye to the five people who are starving that each one of them eat for, or the fact that their money is going towards factories built in third worlds by underpaid employees working in deplorable conditions. This is a MORAL issue. This is about Obligation and TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF. But no, you go on believing that this is about everyone else except you. You are part of the cancer, and thus, have become my natural enemy. I am an antibody, and my purpose in life is to attack the cancer that is plaguing this earth.
I could go way in to these things but for the sake of brevity, I will reserve that for another post.
I do this because I care. I care about the world at large, I care about the state of the planet, and I do not believe that ‘it is the way it is’. I think that we can all implement drastic change if we just get on the same god damned page.
And how can you do that when you are supporting our consumerist way of living? Consumerism is a Ponzi Scheme. Our ‘unilmited’ resources are an illusion. You are made comfortable so you don’t revolt. A fractured population given just enough to maintain complacency is the PERFECT way to keep people from overhauling the system. That and guilt manipulation. People don’t want to think that they are part of the problem. We always want to blame someone else but the fact is, we cant anymore. Our earth is seriously ill with cancer, and we need to stand up to help fight it off.
The first step is taking steps. Lose the weight. Eat well. and DO YOUR RESEARCH.
Thanks guys. Lets help spread the world. Please share my blog with others and I will be making good quality posts in the future, after I get back from my business trip.
