Sixty children from the city’s tenements ate a turkey-less Thanksgiving dinner (of beef loaf) on November 20, 1940. They dropped 120 pennies in a plate in front of an empty place representing war-afflicted British children overseas. The pennies would be sent to buy food for British youngsters. Does your character get along with her neighbors? Tolerate them? Feud with them? Avoid them?

Alex would much rather keep to himself. He doesn’t make much of an effort to actively meet his neighbors. If he can get away with never knowing them, that would probably be preferred. And besides his feelings on the matter, he spends the majority of his time at the bar, so he doesn’t really have the luxury of knowing them well.
