- In my opinion, The Lovers card does not always symbolize romantic love, although it can! To me, this card explains the mentality of self-love and diving into the duality of self to heal the shadow aspects of yourself that may be mirrored in the connections we have with others. We are being reminded of both the feminine and masculine aspects of our souls. What are you doing to awaken the masculine and feminine energies of your soul? How are you nurturing your shadow self or the side of you that you’re embarrassed to show others? There’s no shame in learning how to properly love yourself.
