The Saints came out on top with a last-second field goal to beat the Eagles 26 to 24 at home. In the 1NDUN Challenge, congratulations are in order to Jeff K. (again) with a total score of 120pts.
Jeff K. took the lead out of the gates and never gave it up. His team consisted of: Nick Foles (36pts), LeSean McCoy (24pts), Mark Ingram (36pts), Zach Ertz (12pts), Jason Avant (6pts), and the Saints defense (6pts). A special note that Jeff K. was the only owner to pickup Ingram as an alternate selection via Auto Pick for Pierre Thomas. 1NDUN OBSERVATIONS:
While just about everyone picks the player favorites (ex. LeSean McCoy), the real strategy comes into play with low- to mid-tier draft picks.
Alternates: Auto Pick vs. Manual Selection. This came into focus during Saturday's game. Two owners drafted Saint's RB Pierre Thomas and chose Auto Pick for their alternates. Since Auto Pick is a random selection based on the point value of the original player chosen, while one owner received Ingram as their alternate (and won), the other owner got Sproles (came in 3rd). This makes us believe in the power of using the "Manual Selection" option for certain players.
