Bonfire on the Island
Prudence had some of the boys collect some wood. “Yes, yes just put over there” she directed to which the boys did so until it was piled high. She would need as much wood as they could gather if she was going to have a successful bonfire tonight for the students.
Hurriedly she set up tiki lights and had two more boys help her set up long benches near where the fire would be. “Good, good” she said and tipped them. She put a tiki light in between them. Things were going right according to plan for a change. She just wondered where that Ulysses was.
Of course knowing him he’d have found a way to put a monkey wrench in her plans so maybe it was better that he was off somewhere. She checked her watch, “Hurry up with the rest of that wood the students should be arriving..” she trailed off as she some early arrivals.
“Good evening Students” she greeted them. “Its just about set up. There’s a cooler over there with bottled water or a large jug full of bug juice. Just help yourself.” she added.
“The sun set waits for no one” she said returning her attention to her wood gathering minions.
