Question about AI, as an artist who fucking hates AI.
Since AI is FINE with stealing my shit. Is it okay for me to take their stupid generated images (obvs I'm not paying for them) and then use them as references to make actual art?
#art#half joking#seriously though FUCK AI art#I really wouldn't have had too much of a problem with it if it stayed a silly little thing#but now#now fucking#stealing people's work to duplicate it#people claiming AI art is 'better' than real art#you absolute fucking WALNUTS#AI art has no SOUL#there is no creative process behind it#90% of art is the fucking PROCESS#the way that an artist puts all they are into whatever they create#that what they made in ANY medium#INCLUDING DIGITAL ART#was made by a PERSON who THOUGHT about it and put their time and heart and SOUL into it#AI art lacks all of what makes art ART#it is empty#that being said my rant is done#idk there is just something that strikes me as funny about like#oh here's a clearly AI generated thing fuck that#i'm going to look at it and then use it to make REAL art#because it's fucked up but I could use that pose for something and improve on it vastly#because a literal stick figure is an improvement on AI art#all art is better than AI no matter the quality or skill level put into it#because art made by people has SOUL
