Last words

The pain was filling her body now, overwhelming her in a way that she had never imagined possible. Her eyes watched the blood pool around her, dripping out from her core where the dread doctors had stabbed her.

It was funny to her, really. She had spent her entire life getting ready for this night. Prom was supposed to be something out of a fairytale. She had searched for years for the perfect dress, and now the red chiffon was darkened by the red of her own blood, and she could see the silver tiara she earned from winning Prom Queen was dripping with her own blood mere feet away from her body.

That was ironic wasn’t it? The Prom Queen being slaughtered.. it was a horror movie cliche, and yet, here it was happening to her in real time.

She almost didnt notice Stiles. He was there with her, clutching her hand and sobbing down at her. She knew how he felt, knew that he was losing his best friend. She had been in the same state when she lost Allison. 

Lydia searched for words, searched for something, anything she could say that would make this better for Stiles, but the darkness in her vision was becoming more and more prominent by the second. She had to get out her feelings fast, or else Stiles would never know the truth.

“Sti...” She started, choking a bit on the last bit of air she had left.

“Stiles.... If you have to remember anything about me I just...                         Just remember that I loved you. With all my heart”

She blinked away a tear and looked up into Stiles’ amber hues.

“Im so in love with you...           And I’ll be watching you okay so kick ass.”

The darkness ascended, and Lydia’s eyes fluttered closed, but not before she could get out the words again. She had to say it again.

“I love you.”

And then it all faded out. There was no solemn silence or light that guided her into the afterlife. It was just over. Finished.

Lydia Martin was dead.

Never in a million years did Lydia think Stiles would make the big move. she had never imagined him walking right over to her, lifting her up and kissing her like this, but it was certainly happening. Her legs wrapped around his waist easily and her hands quickly found his hair as their lips moved together in perfect rhythm. She could hear a soft moan escape the bottom of her throat, but she didnt exactly have the capacity to care. Stiles was kissing her, and fuck, it felt amazing.
