FLASHBACK FRIDAY: Tradeshow Lifestyles Magazine: Joey Galon – Fashion Designer, Pageant Guru, Reality TV Personality, Motivational Speaker REALITY TV SHOW PERSONALITY: *Principle and official model coach on TV reality show "Model Latina" on NUVOtv Network. *Finalist & Competing Fashion Designer on “24 Hour Catwalk” on the Lifetime Network. Mr. Galon began his creative career in marketing, public relations & special events in the fashion industry, producing high profile fashion shows which allowed him the opportunity to establish new product launches, public relations, design sets, choreograph shows and work exclusively with top couture designers and their collections, including many well known super models. In addition to fashion show presentations, Mr. Galon contributed his creative eye doing visual displays and event planning for such renown retail companies as I.Magnin and Neiman Marcus. Fashion, Beauty Pageants, Transitions…Oh My…Dreams really do come true! I find it poignant that when I launched my evening gown company, my initial influences were from two entities: 80’s fashion and beauty pageants. Fast forward to today, we are in a retro 80’s fashion phase and living here in Las Vegas, we are the pageant capital of the U.S. hosting to the largest American & International televised pageants from Miss USA to Miss America and now twice in our city, Miss Universe. When I graduated with my B.A. Degree in fashion from San Francisco State University, I worked in the fashion industry for a few years in both San Francisco and Beverly Hills, producing fashion shows and promoting fashion product launches. The fashion event experiences eventually took me into event production in other industries, beginning with movie premiere parties for Walt Disney, Fox, Paramount and sports related industries. My career diverted from fashion events to corporate events and I’d always had the goal in the back of my mind to one day have my own clothing line. After a 20 year career in the events industry, I wanted a change.
