Ya’ll I love me some Danny and Batman crossovers, but the one thing I just can’t stand about them is that in a lot of those, Danny immediately is always just going “oh yeah I’m a ghost” “that’s part of my ghost half” etc. to the batfam or whoever like it’s no big deal (people he barely knows, maybe an hour, a day, a week ago) when he had spent SO long literally hiding the fact he is part ghost.
He hid it from his own sister, and would have continued if she hadn’t figured it out herself. That’s his own flesh and blood, someone he does trust far more than his parents.
I very much believe he would have kept it from Sam and Tucker too if they hadn’t been there to see the accident and by extension — very likely — him using his powers unconsciously.
He’s not going to just advertise that.
He’s not going to be nonchalant about it.
I don’t even think if his parents also knew and accepted it, would Danny say a word to others about it still.
He’s had government agencies after him for being a ghost, he’s aware by that extension that there are going to be people who can’t accept it, or may even try to use him against others as had been done when he was brainwashed and forced to do bad things.
Like please fellow dpxdc enjoyers — I love feral, no thoughts, head empty Danny as much as the next person but that’s pushing his character to just idiot territory 😭
