This is the most recent piece I finished. Saw other artists redrawing the Perfect Blue cover art for their own OC's and I wanted to hop in! The character in question is Romeo/Charlamagne, an exiled prince who struggles with a cursed arm that incites rage and violence.
Credit for the cover art goes to Nobutaka Ike, the Art Director for Perfect Blue, and the whole animation team at Mad House.
Hey there! I will be doing my best to post consistently this year, since I sort of fell off during December DX Anyways, here are some eye cut-ins I did for some of my characters and some of my friends characters! Thanks for letting me draw them out, I hope you guys love them!
Sheet/Position = Owner 1/2 = StarGazer (No Socials ;C ) 2/2 = @c0rv1day 2/3 = Madi (no socials ;C) 2/4 = @clunkysteps, http://instagram.com/clunkva/, and https://bsky.app/profile/callmelejo.bsky.social
Go check em out, they are all lovely!
These are two characters I redesigned recently. The one on the right is Mary Nocturne, and the one on the left is Sterling Bell. Mary is a sweet, wise young woman who travels the world to experience life in its fullest. Despite being blind, she can see magic and souls.
Sterling is her body guard, raised by a group of undead demon hunters, and who lacks any sensation or physical feeling. The only person he CAN feel, however, is Mary.
And so, the two experience life together, and enable the other to live more then before.
Maybe one of these days I will go over the design differences to highlight my process, who knows!
Ophelia, Queen of Draken. Wields a grimoire. She joined Artorias to discover who made her uncle's golem kill his father. Along the way, the two fell in love. Empathetic and intelligent, Ophelia is a dutiful queen, there to focus on what Artorias can't
I wanted to test a lilll bit of my new knowledge with a mild perspective/composition piece. Romeo Mulligan, trying to suppress his cursed arm.
Ser Melioda, the Fae Knight. Wields the Swan's Dirge, the bow of a vengeful mother. She was orphaned when Faeries charmed her father away, then adopted as Artorias' sister. Graceful and loving, Melioda inspires and protects the young and innocent
Delvin the barking knight He doesn't care for romance, honor or even fighting. Acting more as a jester, he prefers to lounge and crack jokes to brighten everyone's day. He is the bravest knight due to his refusal to let cruelty rule his life and his willingness to risk his life for the innocent despite being weak and small.
