The types of NPD presentation

EDIT: Due to the fact this post has caused discourse, something I don’t want on my page, I’m going to add a disclaimer here that these are not terms listed in the DSM-5, the website this diagram comes from supports a belief in narc abuse, and the descriptions are worded in a way that may come off as offensive. I have chosen to cut off the bottom section, as it has two types I disagree with and a link to the problematic website this chart comes from. I also wish to stress that “classic” narcissism is another term I find unhelpful and redundant. I’m not interested in discourse or debates. I chose this diagram because the structure is a good visual aid, not because it’s the most accurate source of information. Do what you will with it as long as you don’t use the terminology to attack others or treat some people with NPD worse than others due to the labels they use to describe their experiences

Posting to share the difference between Somatic and Cerebral in my recent poll. Note that this is a very concise flow chart, so the descriptions for each type have minimal detail and are generalized. I personally feel the wording could be better, but it’s otherwise very informative. I’ve also heard the suggestion of Spiritual being included, as that doesn’t quite fit in the Cerebral category. Having Spiritual NPD would mean you value your religious or spiritual superiority and feel that your “purity” or “holiness” is what makes you better than others. This is common with communal NPD!

i have npd and am aromantic and have noticed a lot of my friends with npd are also aromantic or on the aromantic spectrum for reasons that are very intertwined with our npd. so im just curious about a larger audience.
