like seriously might as well be the prev fandom crossover tag rather than the prev fandom tag at this point yeesh

Looking at his expression again, doesn't Rantaro look softer after the NG code part? Like...he knows whoever will see this will be having a difficult time and he wanted to re-assure them.

Not to mention, it seems that Rantaro figures our mystery recipient (hah) will WANT to trust someone wholly, because of how affectionate he is for the cast. So this whole ‘don’t trust anyone’ thing completely warps it; Rantaro’s warning him of the reality of the situation - you can’t get more real than ‘they will be sure to target you if you tell’ - but doing so in a way that puts it in his hands despite his own reservations. Which isn’t something you would think to do if you were to send an explicit order to yourself, now is it?

Then the fact that he can’t be up-front about the two-person rule to the extent that it’s forbidden says a lot about what’s hidden there, from us as well.
