A few months ago I went to a daylong conference about leadership through my school. One of the activities we did was in our little groups was to pair up and talk about our first impressions of one another. The girl I was paired with was very sweet, and I ended up confessing that I try really hard to hide my nervousness around people, and she gave me a once over and said, "you come off as quite mysterious, like we are only seeing a tiny bit of you." It was possibly the nicest compliment I've ever gotten

I hope everyone votes for the NSSSA in this year's Project For Awesome! Project for Awesome is run every year by brothers Hank Green and John Green, who you've probably seen in Crashcourse and Vlogbrothers videos at school before. John's also well known for being a young adult author. Each year they hold this donation based event to raise money for deserving organizations around the world, and to decrease world suck. I am so amazed and happy that NSSSA is in the running this year to earn a lot of money that could go towards funding more conferences for more students. N-Trip is a conference based leadership experience for Nova Scotia high school students that is run by the students. NSSSA means to world to so many students and past students around the province, me included, and I hope everyone votes before the end of the day tomorrow for us. If I haven't convinced you, then you can watch the amazingly well done video first (which features me breaking it down) and you'll see how much N-Trip means to so many people. And I also have to say, I am honoured that John and Hank will get to witness my amazing dance skills. DFTBA

Ode to Ntrip

My voice is manly, my calves are sore. Whatever sleep is, I need some more. My mind aches from tears and goodbyes, My t-shirt isn't the right size. The strangest part about it all, is that even after I ball and ball, I love every memory, no matter how small. I miss the chocolate milk and cheers. I miss the overcoming of fears. I miss the laughs and jokes and smiles. I miss the dancing through meal hall aisles. Most of all, I miss all of you, and it's only been an hour or two. My body hurts... the sky at home is grey... but I have NSSSA in my heart... and I wouldn't have it any other way.
