taylorgrayphoto Timelapsing the night away in Mount Rainier National Park. The lines of lights on Rainier are climbers attempting to summit the mountain. Safety is the number one reason why most people start their climb long after the sun has gone down - around 12 to 1 AM. As the days are longer during the summer, the snow becomes softer and people can start to slide around during their climb. It’s much safer to be on the mountain at night when everything is frozen solid. It’s hard to imagine what the view is like from up there during that time of night. One day I’ll have to find out for myself! 🧗♂️🌌
