Technically a possible delusion I guess, though not very common as far as I'm aware, and also I'd be cautious of writing an explicitly schizophrenic character if asking me this is the extend of your research/knowledge of the illness

Me and my former classmates escaped from the nuclear apocalypse with a Sonic-themed pickup truck.
It’s honestly wild how you can listen to something for years and still years later discover things about it
i just realised that in mychem’s track “Goodnight Dr Death” the line “your shadow lives on without you” is because you got hit by a nuclear blast i-
i always thought is was just that your legacy lives even if you don’t-
So in your recent post you mentioned nuclear war. So I know vampires would be immune to radiation, but with a nuclear explosion there is a heat wave and a strong blast. So do you think that vampires could survive the heat wave. Most objects if not all catch on fire during that, so would the vampire skin protect them or would they catch on fire?
This ask is in reference to the end of this ask if anyone was curious.
The strong blast is a shock wave that travels faster than the speed of light (~3.0 x 10^8 m/s). The blast would level all buildings and people within a one mile radius (according to the reference listed below). I’ve attached a diagram (below the cut with the rest of this ask because it got long) that kind of explains the other affects at different mileages.
The heat wave, which is what I think vampires would be most worried about, is produced by the nuclear explosion and will cause things to ignite in fire. The heat wave can also create a “fire ball” or firestorm. Because of the heat wave, most people not protected by buildings (whether they are outside or their shelter was leveled by the strong blast) within a 5 mile radius would develop severe third degree burns. Without medical attention, most of these people go into shock and die. Although humans are able to survive the heat wave if they are far enough away or receive medical attention quick enough, vampires are extremely flammable due to the properties of their venom. Therefore, I would assume if a vampire was within the range of the heat wave, they would burst into flames and die immediately.
Ok 😀 I thought I would ask permission first. Can someone with schizophrenia believe they witnessed something from history? Example: my character believes she witnessed the dropping of the atom Bomb , even though she wasn’t even born yet. She’s 20 years old right now
I'm sure that's technically a possible delusion, although not a very common one. That being said, I would be careful about writing an explicitly schizophrenic character if asking me this is the extend of your research on and knowledge of the illness. Schizophrenia is a complex and heavily stigmatized mental illness which deserves more careful representation than someone simply being a bit psychotic for the plot or the drama or whatever
Me: You know, the fun thing about having anonymous questions enabled on tumblr is that people will ask you literally anything-
The communist: I mean it can't be that-
Me: No I'm gonna give you examples. First someone was like "what would you do if someone shot nuclear bombs at you", and then someone was all "have you fucked in front of your dad?" and then someone was like "why can you fuck if you can't cook pasta?" and then-
The communist: Wow they will LITERALLY ask you anything...
Me: Exactly
I don't even know what to say for a warning here so I guess just a general TW?
.
If you got woken up by an ESA saying that nukes had been fired what would you do?
Die probably?
My high school Chemistry teacher led the class into a basement that looked like a cross between the Hogwarts Potions dungeon and a nuclear bunker. Inside was a cult meeting, and the cult leader (my summer camp counselor from when I was 13) thanked my Chemistry teacher for bringing her students to be entered into the cult. I looked my classmate dead in the eyes, and then woke up.
