˗ˏˋ ❛ I - I've NEVER seen a person with a guitar before. ❜ ˎˊ˗
「 ★ 」 ⋮ V I C T I M . ⋮ ━━ Just how SHELTERED was this kid ? Or perhaps the better question was ... what sort of life did he lead to have not experienced the JOY of music ?
Dana hugs her drawing happily to her chest. Everybody liked her art!
❝ ‘m really happy ya like it! I’ll use more colors next time. I’ll use more crayon’s’n such. ❞
Dana nodded and pointed at the guitar. The child was rather interested in the instrument as her friend Lizzie played it. The child smoothed her dress over and crouched down next to Noodle, inclining her head so as to get a better view of the guitar.
❝ What kind is it? My friend, Lizzie, has’a 1959 Stratocaster from ‘er dad. I heard it’s real good at stuff. Have you ever heard of it? Don’t tell her I said this, but I think my piano playin’ is better’n her guitar playing, though she knows how’ta play House of the Rising Sun and the rift Wish You Were Here. ❞
enya still doesnt entirely understand what makes a friend. she counts sidney as her best friend because of how much he knows about her, she him, how much they like each other, but mostly because of how much time they spend together. but he’s her best buddy! technically, sure, he was her friend before, but her perception toward friends and acquaintances is very, very similar.
the best enya can do is a friend is someone she knows how to act around. since everyone is a little different, once she doesn’t have to guess the right way to act toward them, theyre probably a friend. if they want to be. (this criteria does not require them to like her or know the same information at all. SHES VERY FICKLE).
all in all, one. maybe two actual, legit friends. but seeing as she loses interest in people the less time they spend together, even two is too difficult for her to maintain.
Daria wasn’t expecting such an excited response, but part of her felt relieved that she wasn’t rejected and, actually, she observed Noodle’s reaction from close—had she been a lonely child like her?
The ravenette recalls getting awestruck with the smallest things that other kids would find dumb, but she’d find it fascinating nevertheless! It seemed to be a similar case for the younger despite not knowing much about her. But finding wonder in things that others didn’t, that was a wonderful trait right there for Noodle should always keep that talent close to her heart: to find joy and beauty in ordinary things.
“Good! Tell Murdoc so they don’t worry!,” she was pumped for this. They’d make a mess of the kitchen for sure but they could be assist Daniel, right? Besides, her brother was cool and was already used to her shenanigans. “I’ll wait for you so then we can walk towards my house—better yet! I could carry you on my shoulders, I have. . .always wanted to carry someone on my shoulders. My brother did that to me and it felt super-cool, oh! Not to worry, ‘m pretty strong, Noodle.”
