Funny. Enya's grin grows wider as she finds herself relaxing despite the slight unease in the air. Anothers stress was the best, eh, medicine.

Slowly, she pulls herself away from her immobility to mirror Cross' pacing at a distance, in smaller steps.

Eyeing her. Predator-esque.

"Oh, but we can make time, eh?"

"Which is why I'm clarifying." He let out his own air. "And I know there's differences in how offspring work between species. I'm still getting used to it." He muttered a bit on the end there. He'd changed diapers before, but that phase was usually more short-lived.

"If you bully him later, be gentle." Gave her a light poke in the shoulder. "They're fragile, humans."

"S'fair nough, n'human sorts'er, extra soft." Chuckles to that. Loves being exhausting -- until she doesn't, obviously.

Shoulders lift and drop again as she then speaks through bared teeth. "Better, not." Not in a grimace, as no other part of her face is tensed, rather in an unconscious show of discomfort. Whether that be the idea or his poke isn't clear. Responds with the faintest flick of her finger against his collar and her expression relaxes.

"Glass s'only fun when't breaks."

The answer is very obvious to both of them, she thinks, but having Enya ask anyways is still a comfort to her. She's not getting a straight answer, as Ava glances over at her and shrugs. "I've had a couple of naps," None of them were very long, and she hadn't really fallen asleep so much as she had just been dozing, but it was close enough. "But this is... Normal, I guess. Usually I don't even get the naps in."

So long as Ava wasn't trying to use any of her magic, the most the lack of sleep did to her was give her a slightly shorter fuse and level of tolerance for things. Maybe she's spacing a little now, even as she's talking to Enya, but Ava doesn't think that it's nearly as noticeable as it probably is.

"Hm." Obvious, indeed. Enya blinks at the brief glance before she steps closer and presses a hand to the top of Ava's head, leaning her weight heavily there just a moment longer than was likely comfortable -- then drops onto the ground beside her. "Normal, eh."

Enya leans back on her hands, kicking her feet out in a splay of exaggerated comfort. "Tha sounds like. Bullshit." That gets Ava a fleeting grin, though a elbow is jutted against her ribs, too, in some attempt to knock the haze from her eyes.

taking a note from a few people i've seen and post a bunch of unseen sketches to end the year. and BOY do i have sketches for you!! i may have a favorite.

gonna work on actually, yknow, posting this sort of thing in the future (hooray, goals!), if only to get over my whole fear of perfection etc etc. and also i love sketching! love my red pencil! i should be sharing that! plus, its nice to have a digital archive.

it has NOT been 6 months since my last post which means ill probably start having the energy to return to being more active is just around the corner! still ever so slowly trying to get my canon update into something coherent, but odds are ill just make a detailed post w some art (above related. below not so much)

got a few extra days off for my bday and im gonna try using all that time to be productive! however that presents itself, i do Not know, but i hope yall been good <3 tired from working myself, but buns are happy and healthy

Made a frustrated sound at her. That's what Enya gets. For all of that. She already knew """""""""""""things change""""""""""". Lived too damn long not to. Getting tinged with a bit of cranky in general.

"Don't need encouragement to do something fucking stupid." Particularly since Enya didn't know what she was encouraging. In full. Having impulsive thoughts about gnawing off her own tail was one step in a long steep series of them once an episode got rolling. Devang was self aware enough to know what the drop looked like, still.

Meets the noise with a grin. Certainly not aware of the depth of what she was pushing at, unsurprisingly, but the concept itched a part of her own brain. Terrible combination.

"Nnno, bu tha makes't fun." For her. Certainly a fun concept to swirl around in her head rather than everything else going on. Thankfully has enough forethought to pull away from the line, tempting as it was to keep pushing.

Shoulders and grin drop, hands going into pockets. "Guessin things don't grow back fer ye'n. But. Nice t'haf't still, yeh."
