You stood up once you saw Jonghyun’s car pull up in front of your home. He rolled down his window leaning out of it with a smile once he saw you.
“You look nice,” you said softly, once you were close enough for him to hear you, his face was hanging in his face naturally, his white hoodie hanging loosely on his frame.
“I’m just wearing a hoodie and sweatpants,” Jonghyun said with a laugh, “I don’t even have a shirt on under it,” he said amused, you let out a laugh walking around towards the passenger side of his car, his eyes following you the entire time, “you always tell me I look nice,” Jonghyun said leaning back in his seat with a pout.
“You always look good,” you said honestly, he let out a shy laugh pulling out back to the right side of the road, “where are we going?” You said turning to look at him.
“I don’t know I just wanted to spend time with you,” he admitted, “let’s go walk through the park,” he said sweetly, you let out a laugh nodding.
The drive was filled with small conversations the two of you talking about random things that had happened while you had been apart. Jonghyun would occasionally reach over to grab your hand for a minute before returning it to the steering wheel. Jonghyun didn’t mind the silence that fell between the two of you, he just loved being in your presence and you felt the same. Jonghyun was comforting to just be around, whether you were talking with him or not. Jonghyun pulled into the empty parking lot of the park the two of you would walk at during the day.Â
“It’s so empty,” you said with a laugh, Jonghyun nodded with a hum, “at least we’re alone,” you said undoing your seatbelt and opening the door.
Jonghyun followed suite jogging over you where you stood, his usual smile covering his features. His eyes crinkled at the corners while he smiled making your heart skip a beat as usual. It never failed to amaze you just how much you adored everything about him and just how cute he can be sometimes. Jonghyun laced his fingers with yours standing extremely close to you.
The two of you messed around for a little bit making dumb jokes with each other while you walked.
“Do you want to get on the swings?” Jonghyun asked, a serious expression on his face, you couldn’t help but laugh at how serious he looked.
“Sure,” you said softly, with a smile, him dragging you towards the swings.
“I’ll push you,” Jonghyun said, standing behind the swing, he pulled his sweatpants up waiting for you to sit down, a wide smile covering his features.
You saw down on the swing, Jonghyun grabbed the chains that connected them to the pole at the top. He let out a laugh moving you forward and back, while you kicked your legs lightly, looking up at him. Jonghyun let go of the chains instead pushing your back to help you go higher. You let out a laugh yourself enjoying the comfortable silence the two of you fell into, watching the ground get farther away from you while you were on the swing.
You were not sure how long the two of you stayed like that. You do know that you were sad to get off the swing because you knew it probably meant that the two of you would be parting soon.Â
“This was fun,” you said with a laugh walking with him back through the park towards the parking lot, Jonghyun hummed and nodded in agreement.
“We should come here at night again,” Jonghyun said with a smile, “I’m sorry we can’t stay longer, but I should probably go home,” he admitted, “I have to work tomorrow,” he said with a sigh.
