Keeping Warm

Usually, you came prepared. It was unlike you not to carry a coat or jersey with you, especially on a chilly autumn night like tonight, but here you were currently wrapping your arms around yourself in hopes to stay warm. Your eyes glaring at your boyfriend next to you, imagining what he would say if he figured out you were cold. You couldn’t give him the satisfaction of being right. Earlier on in the night, he had told you to “Remember to bring a jacket with you Y/N, it will probably get cold.”
You had told him adamantly that you didn’t need one and to stop worrying, that you would be fine. How wrong you were. Two hours later and you were cursing yourself for your stupidity, but you were also too stubborn to admit defeat. Jaehyun’s eyes glanced at you briefly, a small smirk playing on his lips as he shoved his hands into his pockets further.
“What?”
He feigned innocence, shaking his head softly at your question. “Nothing, You just seem cold. Are you?”
“No, I’m fine. Why would you say that?”
Your eyes narrowed on Jaehyun at his accusation as you stopped walking, your arms instantly dropping from your waist, trying to convince him that you were not cold. Sighing loudly in annoyance you waited as your boyfriend stopped and turned walking back towards you, a knowing look on his face.
“Do you know how cute you are when you’re stubborn?”
“I am not stubborn!” You rolled your eyes, your arms crossing across your chest as Jaehyun’s wrapped around your waist, pulling you in closer to him. You tried to wriggle out of his grasp but the warmth radiating from his body into yours felt like heaven.
“Come here. If you’re so cold, why didn’t you say something?”
“I’m not-”
“Y/N, just admit it. You’re cold, and you should have listened to me and brought a jacket with you”
You closed your eyes, shaking your head, not wanting to listen to him. A chuckle left his lips at your stubbornness before he leaned forward to whisper in your ear “But If you had, I wouldn’t be able to have you in my arms like this.”
His husky tone sent shivers throughout your body, you laughed softly as you opened your eyes, a smile on your lips as you shoved him playfully in the chest at his cheesiness.
“It was my plan all along.”
“Ah, is that so?”
“Mhm.” You agreed, reaching up onto your tiptoes to meet his lips with yours gently.
“Let’s go home, I think I have another idea on how we could keep warm” Jaehyun smiled down at you warmly, a devilish glint in his eyes as he reached for your hand, pulling you in the direction of your home, and out of the chilly autumn night air.
