Some potential Signalis spoilers here.
I was interested in this quick series of images where Ariane is shown briefly in the mirror, distraught with a bleeding mouth. ⿒ is radical 211, and doesn't show up much by itself that I can see easily, and in the 1716 Kangxi dictionary, there's only 21 characters out of 40,000 that are found under this one. I don't know how relevant that is, but it's found with characters in "palate" or parts of the mouth and also is used in mechanistic terms with things like teeth of a flywheel or, in this case, teeth of a grinder which allows us to make a parallel between this meat grinder, Ariane, and the German use.
Signalis makes an obvious use of both Chinese and German language, but it defaults to German for audio (sorta unsurprising since it's a German game). Some of the uses for zahn - much like in English - are used both literally and also something like "the teeth of time" or "the ravages of time". None of these are really obscure meanings in English but because we're seeing a rapid fire series of images after personally jumping into a broken meat grinder in the dream-Rotfront, it seems pretty reasonable to link the mechanistic teeth-gear-destruction framework to Ariane's distress of her own physical deterioration from what's likely radiation sickness.
Sickness and deterioration of the teeth and gums is unsurprisingly extremely distressing and a common element of nightmares, so falling through the grinder to get to a deeper level of the Rotfront is apropos.
